PAL will be the organizing body for the International Permaculture Convergence - IPC8. which is held on alternate years and switches between continents. This will be the first time in Brazil. The Conference ( May 16-18th, 2007 Sao Paulo) is one of the four events associated with the Convergence and this years theme will be Green Economics: www.ipc8.org

OPA’s urban project in Salvador, Bahia is fully underway with the reconstruction of its center in the downtown bairro of Pelorino and its school and community projects on the coast have been firmly established.

IPA in the Amazon has developed several formulas of alternative animal feed which are organic and hormone free. Made from organic residuals and wastes that can be found most anywhere this initiative has cut the cost of animal feed by half and is quietly revolutionizing the possibility for economic advancement of small farmers. The extraction of natural palm oils and recycling of griesel from the Free Trade Zone outside of Manaus is shaping up and will be operative in the next months.

IPEC in central Brazil has recently completed its international Bioconstruindo natural building workshop and is blazing ahead with its varied educational and consulting services.

IPEP in the south of Brazil has a regular course program that is attracting international students from the southern cone countries and is working with local universities to test materials and standards in its natural building program.
